Promoting professional standards and ethical business practice in the communications industry throughout Southern Africa.

SACIA awards several designations to industry professionals that recognise their skills and competence. To earn a designation, individual members are assessed on their education and work experience. They also write a comprehensive examination and provide a detailed Portfolio of Evidence supporting their claim of competence. To maintain registration as a designated industry professional, individuals must maintain membership in the Association, abide by a code of professional conduct, and participate in a programme of continuing professional development that keeps them up to date with the trends and technologies shaping the future of their industry.

All individual members are bound by the SACIA Code of Professional Conduct, which is underpinned by honour, integrity, and honesty. They promise to be truthful and accurate when executing a job - not misrepresenting their academic or professional qualifications. They’ll only undertake assignments they are competent to perform through their education, training, and experience.

If you believe that any member has failed to live up to this code, you can lodge a complaint by sending an email to ethics@sacia.org.za

To verify an individual’s registration, you can search using their surname, first name or designation title. To verify the currency of their registration, we suggest you include a DATE VALID on or after today’s date (DD MM YYYY) in your search criteria.
